As a general rule it is important to balance imagery with text. This home page was unsuccessful in conveying a “Sonoma” feeling and the site was uninviting to read.
City of Sonoma
The previous City of Sonoma Web site had several needs:
An overhaul of the site structure to include all departments.
A new site that clearly identifies three distinct target audiences: residents, visitors and businesses.
A more “Sonoma” visual design.
A site with functionality to allow for easy content management.
Jamie worked with the Web marketing team, which included a representative from each department. She created one standardized content structure model to fall across all departments, making it easier for site visitors to find information.
